This was a really simple manip I threw together this morning, but I kinda like it...
 In my mind were two ideas, the ending of Neverending Story (where he must rebuild Fantasia with his wishes) and the mid-season end of Battlestar Galactica, where they discover Earth... The hope of finding a new home. Personally I think the most annoying thing was that jewel, because I wanted to make it more complicated - having the tree picture fractured through the facets.. I worked on it for a long time, and it wasn't coming out, so I gave up. But with the final lighting effects, you can barely see the details anyway.. so I guess it's a good thing I didn't waste more time.

Every time I added a glow to the jewel, it glowed too much and the tree looked like a dark blob in the center.. sometimes it's frustrating knowing what I want, and not being able to execute it.
